Instructor Solicitation

Intermountain Building Operators Associations (IBOA) is seeking qualified professionals for various educational training and events as well as to provide classroom instruction in the Building Operator Certification (BOC) program. For those interested in non-BOC events please contact Clarence Wieting at

BOC Instructors

BOC Applicants must have classroom instruction and field experience in one or more of the subject areas of focus. Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications will be placed on an "Approved Instructor" list to be accessed by the national BOC program to provide instruction. Qualified instructors may be offered the opportunity to teach between four and sixteen full day BOC classes in the calendar year for the BOC program.

By becoming a BOC-approved instructor, an individual can gain increased visibility among practicing facilities professionals, access to a network of fellow instructors and teaching resources, and the opportunity to earn CEU's.

Application is open on a year round basis. Individuals teaching in the IBOA territories (ID, MT and UT) must complete a BOC Instructor Application (PDF 88k) and return it to IBOA. For other states, go to Training Locations and Schedules for partner contact to return the application.
